Those who prefer to explore the countryside by running rather than on foot will find ideal conditions in the Pillerseetal valley.
Around Fieberbrunn, the options range from leisurely runs to varied trail running routes.
Depending on your fitness level and preferences, there are routes of varying lengths and at different altitudes to choose from.
A variety of routes
In the Pillerseetal, varied terrain awaits you for your trail runs. Forest and alpine paths, alpine sections, uphill and downhill. The different sections will challenge you.
You’ll also find a diverse network of running routes in the region, which are signposted in Fieberbrunn.

Discover alpine cuisine on foot
The route takes you uphill along gravel paths over the Herrgottbrücke bridge towards Grundalmen.
Continuing steadily uphill, you’ll reach the summit, where you’ll be rewarded with a wonderful view.
The descent offers panoramic views before the next series of ascents and descents begin.
Directly from our Farmhotel & Chalets Grosslehen, you can join the Granbach Circuit. This route takes you through the hamlets of Mittermoos and Lackental to the Pletzergraben. After a somewhat steep climb, you’ll catch sight of the Lauchsee.
Ahead of you lies the picturesque lake, with the Loferer Steinberge in the background.
From here, you can either walk to the centre of Fieberbrunn or back to Grosslehen.
